Learn What’s New for 2025

Here’s a peek into open enrollment:

In 2025, monthly premiums for the medical options will increase. Your costs will increase by $2 – $5 per month for employee-only coverage and by $4 – $15 per month for family coverage. While the cost of healthcare services in the U.S. continues to rise, Delta continues to pay the majority of medical plan costs and do our best to manage the impact of rising costs for you and your family.

The IRS is increasing the minimum required deductible for high-deductible health plans, like our HSA medical options. This means for 2025:

  • Gold HSA: $50 increase for employee-only coverage; $100 increase for all other tiers

In addition, for 2025:

  • Silver HSA: $100 increase for employee-only coverage; increases for all other tiers vary by who you cover

There are no changes to the Copay Option deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums.

HSA medical option enrollees will be able to contribute more money to their HSAs to help offset increased deductibles. The IRS is increasing the annual contribution limits to $4,300 for individuals and $8,550 for anyone covering at least one tax dependent.

PrudentRx will be extended to the Gold and Silver HSA medical options (previously only available with the Copay Option). PrudentRx may help reduce or eliminate out-of-pocket costs for eligible specialty medications. CVS Caremark will continue to provide Delta’s prescription drug benefits.

The premiums for Basic and Comprehensive dental options remain unchanged, but you will find coverage enhancements in 2025. The Basic dental option will include full mouth X-rays covered under preventive care, and offer coverage for major services such as crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays paid by the plan at 10%. The Comprehensive dental option will offer coverage for bone grafts paid by the plan at 50%.

Vision coverage will include an annual frames allowance (instead of every 24 months) and monthly premiums will increase by $.57 – $1.67.

For this enrollment period only, you have the option to increase your optional life insurance coverage by multiple levels, subject to approval after a simplified five question health questionnaire which is replacing the standard health review process (also known as Evidence of Insurability) this year. As in prior years, you can increase optional life coverage by one level without providing any health information.

Now is the time to reflect on the coming year and consider your benefit choices. Review this site and the other resources available to help you understand your options and what’s changing for 2025. Then be sure to enroll Nov. 5–20, 2024, to choose the coverage you need for next year.
